Winter 2006/7: In association with Peter McEvoy, Weller Designs have commenced the detailed design of a new 18 hole resort course alongside the Chintsa River near East London, South Africa.

A 150-year lease has been signed on Tottenham House, the Earl of Cardigans ancestral home in Wiltshire, signalling the start of detailed design for its rejuvenation and transformation into The Savernake Club Golf Resort. Weller Designs are creating the landscaping scheme and, for Peter Alliss Golf, the design of the championship golf course. This is a challenging project requiring, under the watchful eye of English Heritage and other conservation bodies, a sensitive approach with due regard for the parklands grade II* listing whilst at the same time ensuring the creation of an exciting and testing golf layout.

Planning approval is expected soon for an 18 hole course set high in the foothills of the French Pyrenees at Marcevol. This dramatic site, with rugged granite terrain surrounded by evergreen oak woods and spectacular mountain views, will be Weller McEvoys first course in France.

Weller Designs continue to assist Crown Golf with improvement work across their extensive portfolio of UK golf courses. Work is well underway to remodel the practice ranges at Cotgrave Golf & Country Club near Nottingham and Chelsfield Lakes in Kent, and to create a new 9 hole par 3 course at the latter.

Extensive changes are planned at the Lords (formerly Hanover) Golf and Country Club near Rayleigh, Essex. Weller Designs have prepared and submitted plans for the remodelling of large parts of the Regency Course, reshaping the practice ground and creating three new reservoirs to ensure future self-sufficiency in irrigation water supply.

A new green has now been constructed for the par 5 16th at the historic St Enodoc links in Cornwall. Nestling into the base of a high, grassed sand dune and defended by 3 new bunkers, the new 2-tiered green adds over 80 yards to the length of the hole. This is the latest in an ongoing series of improvements at St Enodoc designed by Weller McEvoy, which have included the creation of new bunkers, tees and greens.
